You should get your lift station serviced every 6 months or 5,000 hours.

Wet wells should be drained and cleaned. This will prevent greased and solids from building up which prevents gasses that can damage pumps. It also prevents solids from getting caught in propellors.

Pump inspections can prevent propellors from stopping up.

Cleaning and inspecting floats also prevents grease buildup.
